What is the status?
We currently have a working valve actuated by light and we are working in the miniaturization and also trying to increase the speed of our valve.
What have you achieved so far?
We have successfully coupled the LCE actuators to a preliminary design microfluidic valve. We have been able to actuate it by heat and also by light with different controlled pressures.
Have you changed course at all?
We are adapting our designs to novel strategies developed in the frame of the project.
What do you expect from the final stage of the project?
We would like to validate our new concepts and demonstrate their applicability for IVD and OoC scenarios.
